Michael Burns joined Swistak Levine P.C. in 2024. Since joining the firm, Michael has focused his practice on real estate issues, specifically those of Claim and Delivery for secured transaction collateral and abandoned titles for manufactured home communities. Michael graduated from Xavier University in 2020 with a B.A. in History, and double minors in Political Science and Italian Studies. While at Xavier Michael received the W. Eugene Shiels S.J. award for Leadership and Excellence in the classroom. He received his J.D. from Wayne State Law School in the Spring of 2024.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael clerked for a Wayne County Circuit Court Judge for several years. Before attending law school, he was a member of the Alumni Volunteer Corps at University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy.
