Mr. Granata graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2013 and launched his solo practice concentrating on admiralty law, products liability litigation and real property law, including representing landlords in landlord-tenant actions. Many of Mr. Granata’s prior real property clients owned or operated mobile home communities and is uniquely qualified handling actions related to licensing, local and state regulations and re-titling of abandoned mobile homes.

Prior to law school, Mr. Granata was a senior program manager in manufacturing engineering for major tier one automotive parts suppliers including Lear Corporation, Magna International and Cooper-Standard. Prior to joining Swistak Levine, Mr. Granata was senior associate corporation counsel with the City of Detroit where he litigated blight, FOIA, no-fault and governmental immunity actions in 3rd Circuit Court, 36th District Court and Detroit’s Department of Appeals and Hearings.
